Healing the earth. Promoting a circular economy.
Derived from the Cree work Sakikin, meaning sprouting or in growth
Sikikin is the partnership between Plantae Environmental and Metis Settlements Limited Partnership (MSLP), represented by the Metis Settlements Development Corporation. Plantae Sikikin promotes the alignment of Indigenous values and knowledge in addressing environmental challenges across all sectors, industries, and lands.
MSLP works to partner with like minded companies that promote the wellbeing of the planet and people, and build a prosperous future for Indigenous communities. MSLP aligns with its partners to build economic prosperity for the Metis Settlements in Alberta, while ensuring there is no harm done to the planet, the people and sustaining Metis ways of knowing and traditions.
This partnership was created by bringing together two like minded partners, who believe in economic prosperity and opportunity for Metis Settlement members, and all Indigenous people in Canada as well as ensuring we find sustainable ways of healing the planet and building a circular economy.
